I have over ten years' experience in the web design business, having worked extensively with local and regional businesses, the medical profession, DWA, and also on a number of research projects at the University of Bristol, including VUELCO and GVM.
I'm always happy to discuss ideas via telephone or email or meet for a coffee and an initial consultation and estimate of costs is free.
Need a Freelance Web Designer?
I'm Clare Williams, a freelance web designer based in Portishead, near Bristol.
- Do you need a new web site, built from scratch?
- Or a refresh for an existing site?
If you need a web site but don't have any technical know-how, I can help. My approach is very informal, usually holding an initial meeting over a coffee to discuss the look and functionality of the web site. Once the project is agreed, I create a first draft for client approval. After consultation and feedback, I make any necessary changes and clients are able to see each draft online in a private space so they can be involved in the development process.
I work with clients both locally and nationally to create user friendly, standards compliant web sites that work across multiple browsers on desktops, laptops and mobile devices. When designing a website, I consult with my client to understand the target audience. I like to ensure that the look and feel of the site can meet all expectations as well as ensuring that accessibility and usability standards are met.
From 2011-2015 I've was involved in video production with the University of Bristol, travelling to Austria, Mexico, Ecuador, Spain, Italy and Dominica shooting, producing and editing short films to capture the work of the VUELCO project. To read more visit the video production page.
